Stephen F. Hayward will speak about modern environmentalism and the
sometimes frustrating facts that environmentalists of all political
stripes face.

The talk will be Tuesday September 9th at 8 p.m. in the Babbott Room of the Octagon at Amherst College.

Hayward recently produced and hosted An
Inconvenient Truth ... or Convenient Fiction?, a rebuttal to Al Gore's
An Inconvenient Truth. The talk is sponsored by the Colloquium on the
American Founding. Hayward is also an F.K. Weyerhaeuser Fellow at the
American Enterprise Institute (AEI), where he studies the environment,
law, political economy and the presidency. He is the coauthor of the
annual Index of Leading Environmental Indicators, and writes AEI's
Environmental Policy Outlook.

Not sure what this will be like, but it just might possibly be an interesting debate.
