The Western Mass Coaching Alliance (WMCA) is a community of coaches and people interested in the coaching profession in all its forms. The WMCA's mission is to inspire members' personal and professional growth and strive to increase public awareness of the value of coaching. WMCA members and guests meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month to share, learn, network and educate ourselves and others about the field of coaching.
Coaches help you to get unstuck, move on and:
- Conquer fear and any stumbling blocks
- Reduce stress and find balance
- Encourage you to do more of what you love and what is working for you, and less of what is not working
- Set boundaries
- Develop a strategy and focus
- Create a strategic plan
- Improve networking skills and results
- Take risks and try new things
- Trust your intuition
- Ignite your passion
Professional coaches provide an ongoing partnership designed to help clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives.
There are many different kinds of coaches, including:
- Life Coach
- Career Coach
- Relationship Coach
- Business Coach
What the different kinds of coaches have in common is the skill and experience to bring about what the client wants — a job that is more satisfying; stable relationships; setting and achieving life goals; starting a business, etc.
Coaches work on the phone, via email or Skype and in-person with individuals and organizations. Most offer a complimentary introductory session, so that you can both determine if there is a good “fit.” While coaching is not therapy, coaches subscribe to a code of ethics including keeping client information confidential.
