Waterfield Farms International (WFI) was formed to meet the growing worldwide demand for organic fish while positively impacting the long-term health of the environment, the communities producing the fish, and the consumers of WFI’s products. In 2005 WFI made a commitment to find aquaculture facilities to represent and bring at least 5 species of sustainably or organically grown fish products to the market. WFI, LLC quickly realized that the stability of the small fish farmer was not dependable enough to supply the market on a continuous basis. Using WFI’s management team’s experience, as a foundation, we decided to expand beyond being a Sales and Marketing LLC, to a Development, Training and Marketing Company. This company is now know as, Waterfield Farms International, a Federated Cooperative. (WFI, FC).
