In 1990 after retiring from 28 years in the British Merchant Navy and as a fisherman, Ed came to the United States with his wife Jody.
Edward Cothey is the driving force behind Tregellys World Fair Trade.
This is a one man owned business not affiliated with any organizations.
Tregellys is not your ordinary import shop the personal touch is very important.
Traveling to the countries and meeting the people is very important for Ed.

"You have to meet the people otherwise how can you say it is fair trade".

I not only know where my products come from, I personally know the people who made them. How many businesses can say that? I would love to show you the wonderful crafts at my store and tell you about the various artists and precisely how your purchase will directly benefit the life of the artist and their community

We also help support a small number of Tibetan Refugee families.
Who live in the Tashi-ling Refugee Camp in Pokhara, Nepal.
