Co-op Power

Co-op Power in a Nutshell

We have 312 members and 4,800 supporters in New England and New York who are committed to a sustainable energy future. We have engaged in dialog over the past five years to build consensus about how to best support our transition to a sustainable energy future. As a result, we have raised more than $225,000 in Member Equity to support the development of community-scale clean energy projects and to build Co-op Power.

CitizensMatch/Highland Valley Elder Services

CitizensMatch serves as an economic tool monetizing acts of caring among individuals and businesses within our caring community through a non-cash currency, Citizen Dollars. Individuals earn them when they work to strengthen the community in which they live.

People Typically :

- drive a neighbor to an appointment

- help with chores around the house

- deliver groceries to those who cannot leave their homes.
Each of these acts is given a value and the individuals receive that amount in Citizen Dollars.
