HADLEY-HOCKANUM VILLAGE: The bond of ‘family' could not mean more to the Hockanum Village Barstow's. And when granddaughter, daughter, niece, sister, cousin, and aunt; Shannon Barstow, expressed her dream of having a bakery, her family joined right along side her to help make her dream a reality. Just as the pies, cheesecakes and cookies in the bakery, the store was build from scratch. Every Barstow did their share to make the store some thing special and the family could not be more pleased with the dream that they have built together from the ground up.
The new addition to the 202 year old Barstow's Longview Farm now invites you to come celebrate with day-long Grand Opening party and free concert Saturday, September 13. The dairy store and bakery is located at 172 Hockanum Road, Route 47 between the Summit House road and the South Hadley town line.
The schedule for the day:
2 for 1 ice cream cones all day long
A representative from Cabot Cheese, makers of the World's Best Cheddar Cheese, will be present from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. to provide a variety of samples of their award winning cheeses.
